Environmental Justice and Social Equity Meets Energy Research
Do you work in Environmental Justice? Do you work at the nexus of Social Equity? Do you work in Energy Research? Do you want to figure out how to connect your research to these themes? Do you enjoy a free lunch? Then join us for this networking event!
WHEN: April 19th from 9:00-1:00 in the Hadley Room, Campus Center 10th floor WHAT: Get to know faculty across campus and their research in the areas of Environmental Justice, Social Equity, and/or Energy. You can sign up for a 5 minute lightning talk or participate as an audience member.
WHY: This event is designed to spark cross-campus collaborations and new research teams applying for funding opportunities.
Register by April 5th to present a lightning talk or by April 10th to participate as an audience member.
Event format:
- Introduction talk from Erin Baker, Director of the Energy Transition Institute, on event's proceedings and intended outcomes.
- 2 or more consecutive sessions, consisting of
- 5 minute lightning talks, followed by
- Table or poster discussions where presenters speak with interested participants.
- Casual Networking lunch from 12:00-1:00 + facilitated discussion of relevant funding opportunities flagged for consideration.
