2021-2022 Herod ES Extended Day Program Policies and Procedures
Tuition: $500 a semester
Fall semester - August 23, 2021 to January 14, 2022.                                                                                                Spring semester - January 18, 2022 to June 7, 2022.

Payment: Payments can be made online at www.schoolpay.com. In-person payments can be made at Herod's main office. A payment plan is available to you as a convenience.                                     Fall semester payment due dates:                                                                                                                                          August 23, 2021 - $250                                                             October 22, 2021 - $250                                                             Spring semester payment due dates:                                                                                                                                    January 18, 2022 - $250                                                             March 25, 2022 - $250                                                       Failure to meet your financial obligations will result in the student not being eligible for the Extended Day program. Please make checks payable to Herod Elementary. All returned checks will be handled directly by the district controller’s office located at 4400 w. 18th Street, Houston, Texas 77092. *
No Extended Day: There will be no Extended Day on November 19, 2021; December 17, 2021; March 11, 2022 and June 8, 2022. *
Dismissal: Parents must pick up their children by 5:30pm. Please pull into the circle drive and have your child’s car tag displayed. Your child will be called by the Extended Day staff member present in the circle drive for dismissal. Please be prompt in getting here by 5:30pm. A late charge of $1 per minute will be assessed after 5:30pm. Late pickup fees must be paid within two days of incurring the charge. Late fees cannot be paid online. Failure to pay late fines and/or three late departures will result in the student not being eligible for the Extended Day program. *Dismissal procedures are subject to change *
Conduct: Herod's standard rules of student conduct apply to Extended Day activities. Two documented occurrences of misbehavior will result in the student not being eligible for the Extended Day program. *
Change in Pickup: If it is necessary for your child to be picked up by someone other than a parent or designated person, please notify Ms. Richard, drichar3@houstonisd.org, in writing giving permission and the name of the responsible party. Students will not be allowed to go home with another child without written permission from the parent. *
