We are excited to be back for another great year of aftercare.
Care will be available Monday - Friday after school until 6:00pm.
The Program will start the first day of school.
You can choose 3, 4, or 5 days per week.
All children must be potty trained to attend our program.
You will be able to rotate days as needed, but the amount of days per week must stay the same.
(I.E. 3 days per week - week 1 - Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. week 2 - Wednesday Thursday, and Friday)
We ask that you email us on Monday each week if you will be changing days weekly.
We require a $75.00 registration fee and a deposit of 2 weeks' tuition.
The deposit will be returned as your last weeks of tuition, if you give two weeks' notice in writing of withdrawal.
Tuition will be due on Monday each week (based on enrollment not attendance). If your account has not been paid by Friday there will be a late fee of $35 added to your account. We are able to automatically withdraw payments, you can make payments on your own using www.myprocare.com, or you can bring cash or checks to the First Impression Newton location at 171 High Street.
2023-2024 tuition rates :
3 days per week: $50 weekly
4 days per week: $60 weekly
5 days per week: $70 weekly
The following is a breakdown of the typical afternoon in our program.
To get an idea of time span, most activities last approximately 30 minutes.
Dismissal & Snack: Children are dismissed to the Media Center where attendance is taken and snacks are given to all children (after the first bathroom break and handwashing happens, of course).
Gross Motor Time: (also known as free play/burn off all the pent-up energy time!) Everyone heads outside or into the gym to get some exercise. During this time, we will have organized games such as soccer, kickball or wiffleball. Don’t like sports? No problem! Come hang out on the school playground.
Homework Help: We offer families the option to have their child participate in a half hour of staff monitored homework time. We respect that some families need homework to be done during aftercare and other families wish to go over homework at home, so the choice is yours! Your preference can be conveyed on the Homework Permission Form, and/or with a note to our staff on any day that your child is in our program. Children that are not doing their homework will have free choice of board and card games, use of art supplies, books or quiet conversations with their friends.
Organized Activities: We offer a variety of activities based on the interest of the kids in our group. Some options include: Crafts, science experiments, team building activities, slime/playdough/messy play, one on one competitions...we are totally open to suggestions. Let us know what your child likes to do on the enrollment application.
End of day/Pick up Time: For the last hour of care, we turn the music on and let the children choose how they want to spend their time. Most evenings we will be in the gym where kids have the option to do an activity at one of our tables or play a game on the gym court until they are picked up. When you arrive for pickup, you will sign your child out at the Lobby Guard in the foyer and your child will be walked directly to you. All children always need to be signed out by an authorized adult.
