The Adult Advisory Council (AAC) is an essential voice for adults with Spina Bifida. Members who volunteer for the AAC share their insights and knowledge from their lived experiences with Spina Bifida to help inform and guide SBA’s activities and programs.
Members are asked to meet every other month to:
- share insights and suggestions based on their life experiences,
- offer their diverse knowledge of constituent perspectives,
- suggest connections to local, national or international resources, colleagues or peers, and
- offer their philanthropic support to SBA.
Additionally, AAC members are encouraged to support, as much as they are able, SBA's educational and philanthropic activities by:
- promoting SBA's activities with their networks of peers (i.e. sharing social media posts about national-level activities such as Spina Bifida Education Days, Teal on the Hill, SB-YOU webinars, and Spina Bifida Awareness Month), and
- registering for and attending SBA's free, educational webinars for adults
We look forward to reviewing your application!
