Perk for this year include the following:
- Behind the scenes access
- Access to shows and attractions after shift
- Gophers will earn a free badge for the following year (depending on enough hours volunteered) as well as the possibility for free meals and prizes from our vendors in the vendors hall
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years old for assisting with Con Safety position. Minors no younger than 16 years old may be considered for general assistance roles without written and signed permission from parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s).
Must attend a quick gopher orientation prior to serving as a Gopher.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:
LOAD IN: Aiding staff with setup of con equipment in rooms.
TEAR DOWN: Aiding staff with breaking down of con equipment in rooms.
REGISTRATION: Assisting staff with lanyard/badge setup, assembling packets, etc.
CON SAFETY: Assisting Con safety with patrolling, line control, distribution of information (Gophers will not perform door manning duties or verification of on age restricted/dress mandated panels)
PROGRAMMING: May include assisting with panel setup/breakdown and assisting activities with various needs for the panel
VENDOR FLOOR: Ensures foot traffic runs smoothly as necessary
