East Grand Bahama (EGB) is a pristine area of Grand Bahama, comprised of pine forests, tidal creeks and cays, with vast potential for ecotourism and sport fishing. Despite these assets, EGB has been adversely impacted by hurricanes, storm surges, and human activities, such as stream-blocking causeways and oil spills. The Implementing Land, Water, and Ecosystems Management in The Bahamas (IWEco) project in EGB includes the development and implementation of a Watershed Management Plan for the area. This plan, which is the first step in watershed management, is key to the establishment of sound environmental, hydrological, and socioeconomic policies and initiatives to improve human and ecological conditions in the area. This survey was designed to assess the perceptions of EGB residents and stakeholders in Grand Bahama about a watershed management plan for the area. Respondents have the opportunity to contribute their invaluable knowledge, experiences, and aspirations toward those goals. This survey is anonymous and concentrates on the issues affecting EGB.
