If you have NEVER attended GTA training before, this section explains what you need to know to be a GTA in the Virtual January Term, the Spring 2021 Term, and/or the Summer 2021 Term.   If you are a dual-degree undergraduate/graduate student, you only attend UTA training.  Links to all the training events will be shown at the end of this form.
TA Training for the January Virtual Term (which runs from January 8 to 29) consists of completing Canvas webinars.  If you have never attended GTA training before, completing the Canvas webinars will ONLY satisfy training for the January Virtual Term.   The Canvas webinars will be available starting on December 8, 2020, and you will need to complete them by January 6, 2021. *
Your completion of the Canvas Webinars for the January Virtual Term may count towards training for the Spring 2021 or Summer 2021 terms.  If you did not complete GTA training during the Fall 2020 term, and you plan to be a GTA in the Spring 2021 or Summer 2021 Terms, you must participate in a live Zoom GTA training session between late January and February, 2021.     *
In order to show that you have completed GTA training for the Spring 2021 term or later, you will  1) register for UNIV 400, 2) Complete the Canvas Webinars, and 3) attend a live Zoom GTA training session.  Dates are listed at https://case.edu/ucite/ta-training/graduate-ta-training with a sign-up calendar. *
