Auditions will be held in Room 63 in Frasier Hall on the UNC campus, located at 1710 9th Avenue. Room 63 is on the ground level on the north side just left of the main (middle) stairwell. The best place to enter is through the north (or "right") circle drive entrance on the east side of the building (where 9th Avenue and 17th Street meet). Street parking is available, as is the “K-West” lot southwest of Frasier. Parking is not enforced on the weekend for this lot.
Concert and General Membership Information:
The Greeley Chorale presents 3 concerts during our season, typically in October, December, and April. Additionally, there 2 optional concerts in the "regular" rotation; 1 in early December (Poinsettia Pops with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra), and 1 in late February (annual fundraising event). We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:15pm-9:30pm from late August through mid-April. Rehearsals are held on the UNC Campus in Frasier Hall Room 63.
For the 2024-2025 concert season, we will perform on the following dates:
- Saturday, October 12 @ 7:30pm (regular concert)
- Saturday, December 7 @ 7pm (optional concert with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra)
- Saturday, December 14 @ 7:30pm (regular concert)
- Saturday, February 22 @ 5:30pm (optional annual fundraising event)
- Saturday, April 5 @ 7:30pm (regular concert)
A singer may miss one (1) regular concert per season Although 100% attendance is desired, members are permitted a limited number of absences or tardies. Dress rehearsals are mandatory. A singer is considered to be on leave if absences exceed the maximum allowance for a given concert. If two (2) leaves are taken in a concert season, or if two (leaves) are taken consecutively, then membership is forfeited, and a reaudition may be required to regain membership.
Dues are paid annually as follows (new members may receive a concert and rehearsal music folder):
- $55 for new members joining in the fall;
- $30 for new member joining in the spring;
- $50 for returning members
Members are responsible for obtaining appropriate concert dress (specifics will be provided upon acceptance):
- Tenors & Basses shall wear a black tuxedo with a white wing-tip collar, studs and cufflinks, black banded bow tie and cummerbund and/or black vest (determined on a concert-by-concert basis), and black dress shoes and socks.
- Sopranos and Altos shall wear a black dress and jacket (specifications to be provided after acceptance), black hose, black shoes, a single strand pearl necklace, and single pearl stud earrings.
