The day will kick off with donuts and coffee at 8 am followed by a time to visit with area businesses that provide services and products of interest to seniors. Several workshops will be held throughout the day with topics such as understanding medicare and social security, behavioral health in later life, key nutrients for older adulthood, and living options for seniors. Door prizes will be given out throughout the day with the grand prize drawing for one of two $300 gift cards near the end of the day at 4 pm.

You are especially encouraged to attend the lunch portion of the event starting at 11:30 am which includes a Town Hall Meeting, where we will discuss issues of importance to the older population. Information gathered here will be used by the Texas Silver-Haired Legislature to develop Resolutions to present to the Texas Legislature. Students from Abilene Christian University will serve as moderators and recorders.
