The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center invites you to join us for an engaging conversation on boundaries, resilience, and forms of resistance for the LGBTQ+ community in Washington, DC. This 1.5 hour workshop will be facilitated by our Program Director & Psychotherapist, Jocelyn Jacoby, LGSW, LMSW. We hope you leave with new skills and support to help you make it through an increasingly hostile political and media landscape.
We encourage you to find a private and comfortable spot to join the Zoom. Plan to arrive on time as no one will be let in after 7pm. This workshop includes a period of imaginative reflection so feel free to bring a journal or art supplies, but it is not required.
Registration is required. If you are interested in joining us on Wednesday, April 2nd from 6:30-8pm, please enter your email so we can send you the Zoom information.
The DC Anti-Violence Project at the DC LGBTQ+ Community Center is grant-funded by the Mayor's Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants (OVSJG) to provide community offerings such as these as well as free short-term therapy and case work to LGBTQ+ survivors of trauma, abuse, and violence. This form includes an optional demographic section which we could share in the aggregate with our funders. This anonymized data help us show the needs in our community and the need to continue to host events. Feel free to skip any information you do not wish to share. Depending on your answers, this could take 3 to 10 minutes to complete.
