2020 NCoGs Annual Conference Session Application
The National Conference of Governor's Schools is requesting applications to present a session during the 2020 NCoGs Annual Conference in Huntington, WV October 8-10, 2020. Sessions will take place during the day on Friday, October 9.

NCoGs suggests that applicants create a session based on one of the below topics, as identified as areas of need by attendees of the 2019 Annual Conference. Presentations do not have to address all identified sub-areas of a broad topic as listed below.

Suggested Topics:
-Alumni: Mailing alumni relations following programs, activating past alumni, tracking alumni
-Collaboration Amongst Governor's Schools: Sharing data, sharing materials, sharing alumni information
-Inclusivity: Increasing ethnic/racial diversity in programs, increasing gender diversity, increasing rural participation, selection criteria/procedures
-Funding: public vs. private funding, establishing/maintaining stable funding, activation alumni as donors/advocates, soliciting support of state legislators, marketing/recruitment tools
-Program Structure: curriculum, balancing work vs. play, administration/operation, behavior policy, selecting topics of student interest, data/assessment, ice-breakers and relationship building activities, structure of host/director selection and maintenance, faculty/staff training and teambuilding
-Promoting Value of Program

You may also submit a proposal on another topic, though the above will be prioritized.

The incorporation of take-away materials is highly encouraged.
