Please fill out the form below to request a room reservation. You will be contacted within three business days by the Latinx Student Center to complete your reservation, if possible. Your reservation is not complete until you receive confirmation from the LSC staff that your event was successfully scheduled. Event request forms are processed in order of submission.
Reservation Information: You may reserve the entire LSC for events from Monday through Friday 5 PM - 9 PM, but with set up only as early as 5 PM, and 12 PM- 5 PM on Saturdays, and 12 PM - 9 PM on Sundays. Events that are earlier or later than the open reservation time will need to be cleared by professional staff. LSC front desk staff are available for limited hours to help with set up/break down of events, so please plan accordingly. Please do not move any furniture unless cleared with LSC staff upon confirmation. Ensure that you put furniture back in the configuration you found it.
All organizations and departments are limited to two "Private" events a month. "Private" events are closed events that take up the entire LSC and are
exclusive to members of the requesting organization. For further clarification or an exception, email latinxatuva@gmail.com or ctemerson@virginia.edu.
Availability: Please allow more than 3 business days lead time for requesting an event. Refer to the LSC Calendar (tinyurl.com/LSCevent) to make sure the space is available. For any emergency last minute requests, e-mail latinxatuva@gmail.com or ctemerson@virginia.edu, or visit the LSC front desk. There is no guarantee we will get to your request in a timely manner.
Eligibility: CIOs, Special Status, Agency, and student groups whose events align with the mission of the Latinx Student Center; "
to provide an inclusive environment that supports the intersectional experiences, diverse cultures, and educational goals of Latinx students at the University of Virginia
" have priority for space reservations. Offices and departments and other groups can also use the space if a student group has not yet requested it. All groups must be in good standing and must follow all rules for use of the space; those in violation of rules will be notified and may have restricted reservation capability. - A sense of place and comfort designed for the academic success, social success, retention, and celebration of underrepresented students at the University of Virginia.
- Opportunities for scholarship, research, and faculty enrichment in the areas of race, culture, ethnicity, and other social identities across all disciplines.
- Improve University relations by generating a wealth of lectures, dialogues, and exhibits that are useful in educating the campus community.
- Events must be inclusive, meaning: engaging and supportive of those communities the center was designed to serve.
