Launched in February 2017, our Legal Task Force (“LTF”) consists of several volunteer attorneys in many different practices of law in New York and New Jersey. We provide professional legal assistance to the Korean community facing economic hardships or lacking knowledge of the law and English proficiency.
We provide free legal consultations with over 300 persons assisted every year. We conduct legal research and host seminars on various topics in order to empower our communities with accurate and reliable legal information that is both language and culturally competent. Topic areas include anti-Asian hate and violence, elder law and estate planning, rules and regulations important for small business owners, explaining executive orders and policy decisions impacting immigration, and more.
We work together with many local organizations as well as our elected officials to provide free legal services to the Korean American community. Our work is an essential resource for Koreans struggling with language and cultural barriers, especially for those that cannot afford legal representation.
We are excited to extend a warm welcome for you to join our team! Thank you for your interest and support! We would really appreciate it if you could share your contact information and availability.
