**The Supplications of Islam with Sheikh Suhaib Webb**
Tuesdays, 6:30 - 7:45 PM | GCASL 472 | 238 Thompson St.  
Supplication is an act of devotion that permeates our lives; moments joy are met with expressions of gratitude; trauma and humbling loses are met with calls for forgiveness, help and salvation. Join Suhaib Webb as he begins a series on the supplications of Islam. In each session he will cover an important supplication, explain its meanings, applications, virtues, methods and impact. All who RSVP will get its translation and transliteration!


** A Journey Through the Verses of the Quran with Dr. Ali Mermer**
Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8:00 PM | GCASL 472 | 238 Thompson St.
Alongside teaching the methodology of making Tafseer (exegesis) of the Qur’an, this discussion will provide members with practice by learning self-skills to demonstrate the Tafseer of certain verses (Ayaat) of the Qur’an, especially those which are more related to the fundamentals of tenets of Islamic tradition. This discussion encourages attendants to engage themselves with the Qur’an, to make them feel that the Qur’an is within their reach and that they can communicate with the Qur’an.

Weekly halaqas with reflections from the Qur'an, Prophetic traditions, and teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (a).  The classes are aimed to allow for thought provoking discussions on matters related to ethics and spirituality. The aspiration is to take practical lessons from the discourses and work to cultivate our journey in seeking closeness to God by treading in the footsteps of the Prophet and his family.
