We are looking for licensed attorneys, particularly trial lawyers, to judge our region's competition taking place virtually over the Zoom platform between Friday, October 1, 2021 and Sunday, October 3, 2021.
This year, the competition problem is a criminal case involving allegations of domestic abuse. There will be 3-4 judges placed in each Zoom room to observe, score and provide feedback to the student competitors. One judge in the room will act as the presiding judge over the matter.
Competition Schedule/Judging Options:
Round 1: Friday, 10/1, 5:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
Round 2: Saturday, 10/2, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Round 3: Saturday, 10/2, 3:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
Round 4: Sunday, 10/3, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Illinois Continuing Legal Education Credit will be available to all attorneys who judge.
Judging guidelines, further information and details will be distributed to those who register to judge as the competition nears, and there will be a brief orientation over Zoom the week before the competition to explain the competition rules, scoring, and key Zoom features. You can also visit
