Survey - Weekly and Weekend Health and Medical Check-up in Rugby
Rugby Health Limited (hereafter called RHL) is a Primary Care Network representing the 12 GP practices in Rugby, and is the very same group that won the confidence vote from you - the community - for successfully delivering a world-class vaccination programme at Locke House (The Railings). RHL is now getting ready to deliver additional services, beyond the 8am to 6pm appointments offered at Rugby's GP practices.
From 1st October 2022, RHL will be scheduling additional clinics, so that non-urgent check-ups and health-care demands such as smear tests, wound-care, contraceptive care, routine reviews/care for conditions such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, review of medication and many other options can be addressed. Here also we will have the opportunity to offer lifestyle advice or to conduct NHS Health checks if you become eligible for it.
These appointments will be especially of benefit to you if:
>>> you are unable to attend doctor appointments in the week, because you are working or you have child care.
>>> you rely on other people to take you to the GP practice, but they are not available on weekdays.
>>> you have just checked out of hospital and you have concerns and queries.
>>> you wish to consult somebody on your regular medication.
Who will you seen by?
----------------------------------
Your appointment will be with a GP, healthcare professional or nurse who have appropriate skills to address your health query.
Where will these out-of-hour clinics be located?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
>>> Rugby Health and Well Being Centre, Drover Close, Rugby - CV21 3HX
>>> Brookside Surgery, Stretton on Dunsmore, Rugby - CV23 9NH
How often?
------------------
Every weekday evenings and on Saturdays, all through the year, except on public holidays.
What times?
------------------
Weekdays - (Monday to Friday): 6:30pm to 8pm
Weekends - (Saturdays only): 9am to 5pm
How to book?
--------------------
Prior appointments have to be booked 2 weeks in advance. Same day appointments may be available, but cannot be guaranteed.
Would you be able to see us if we have an emergency?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That would depend on the type of emergency, and whether there are slots available on the day. We may have to refer you to other agencies or to the hospital, especially if we do not have appointments to offer you on the day.
Why are we conducting this survey?
-------------------------------------------------------
Your views will help us tailor these services to suit your needs and will ensure that we make it as easy as possible for you to attend your appointments.
We will not be asking for any personal information during this survey. The survey results will be used purely as a guidance to setting up the Enhanced services, and for statistical purposes only.
