Who are we ?

The Bru·X·elles Festival is an actual music showcases festival focusing on FINTA* artists. The festival offers a real Belgian and international laboratory that brings together all the actors who act for a more equitable, secure and eco-responsible music sector.

The festival is built around four values, all of which are rooted in the music sector and which constitute our development axes:

  • Visibility of FINTA* people
  • Raising awareness of gender-based violence
  • Raising awareness of eco-responsibility
  • Highlighting collaborations between the language communities

*FINTA = Fæmme, Intersex, Non-binary, Transgender, Agender, …

🥣12:45 - 13:45  Pro Lunch "Slow meeting" by Sabam for Culture & PlayRight+

A privileged moment of encounter between FINTA programmers & artists. The "slow meeting" concept aims to connect artists and their artistic work with the professional world. We bring together profiles with common interests. We invite 5 programmers to share a convivial moment with 15 professionals or artists around a meal prepared with love and passion by a team of women committed to a more sustainable world.

☮ 14:00 - 17:00  Workshop "gender violence : blind spots & responsibilities" by Liminal

Objective: To develop concrete elements for the design of a toolbox to promote the involvement of men and to make it visible in the party scene.

For this workshop we are bringing together actors from the music sector and experts from the socio-educational sector. The different professional staff of the party scene will be represented in order to have the broadest possible vision of the actions and tools to be developed. The group will be made up of about twenty people with profiles such as venue manager, federation coordinator, technical manager, bar manager, security officer, artist, expert in the deconstruction of masculinity, expert in gender issues, social worker, etc.

© 15:00 - 17:00  Workshop "Copyright & related rights" by Sabam & PlayRight

Copyright and neighbouring rights are essential notions to evolve and become professional in your musical project. During this workshop, we will decipher what these rights are and what differentiates them and how to generate new sources of income thanks to them. What are the missions of these structures? How do they manage their members' rights? How to protect one's creations? What financial assistance is available? All the answers to your questions as a performer or creator are here!
