July 3rd National Anthem Singing Competition

Enter Montpelier Alive’s July 3rd National Anthem Singing Competition. First place wins $100 and the opportunity to sing the National Anthem for a crowd of over 10,000 people on the Vermont State House Lawn during the 2019 July 3rd Independence Day Celebration. Second and Third places win $50 and the opportunity to sing a patriotic song from the Main Stage during the event.

This competition is open to individuals and groups of all ages, and winners will be determined by a combination of online votes and LIVE auditions.

To enter the competition, sign up below for the LIVE audition on June 9th from 1-3 pm on the Vermont State House Lawn. All contestants must sing the Star Spangled Banner from the State House Steps before a panel of judges. The judges will choose three finalists. The three finalists will have their performances posted online and the public will be invited to vote for the winner.

If signing up for a group, it is only necessary to complete the audition form below once. However, each individual must complete a photo release/permission form. If under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the photo release/permission form. Timeline
May 16th: Registration for the LIVE audition opens
June 9th: LIVE auditions 1-3 pm on the State House Lawn
June 12th: Online voting opens
June 26th: Online voting closes at noon, winner announced
July 3rd: July 3rd Independence Day Celebration
