How to Prepare for the upcoming Federal Funding Summit
Choose your most ready project that needs Federal funding support.
Decide which of the 5 strategies (1. Coal transition capacity, 2. Infrastructure and Physical Enhancement, 3. Target Industry Expansion, 4. Community Quality, 5. Workforce, Entrepreneur and Business and Expansion Support) it most aligns with (there will be federal funding agency representatives for each of these strategies who will be wanting to connect with you).
Be prepared with a 3-minute high-level narrative on your project. (Think, “Shark Tank-type pitch for your project).
Fast track your project by sending a one-page overview in advance of Summit. Send to your County Economic Development contact (listed below) by February 9.
Round up your project partners who will be instrumental to your project application’s success and have them attend with you.
Get ready to ask questions and discuss your project with Federal Funders directly.
Be prepared to connect with regional, state and federal leaders who are ready to work together with you on transitioning our coal economies.
