Parents and Players,
We are excited for another season of Cougar Club Hockey (CCH) for the fall 2019. CCH aims to provide players with an affordable season allowing them to improve their strength, skills and teamwork necessary to improve for the RCS Hockey season and compete for a bid to the USA Hockey National HS Hockey Tournament. We will be playing in the Colorado Prep Hockey League (CPHL), which has grown to over 12 tier 1 high school teams, including Regis, Ralston Valley, Monarch, and Cherry Creek high schools, providing the best competition in the state at the prep level. Colorado High School hockey has grown leaps and bounds over the last 8 years and we are committed to providing a platform of growth for high school students in grades 9-12. CCH will be open to all hockey players 9-12 who are looking to continue on to RCS Hockey and that are not in attendance within the Poudre School District.
CCH will play approximately 12 regular season games, plus two tournaments (minimum 8 games); The Stable early bird tournament and Silver Sticks including the CPHL championship series to conclude the season playing approximately 20 games. The CPHL champion will represent Colorado in the USA Hockey High School National Championship. CCH will be coached again by Resurrection Christian High School Coaches.
Affordability is a key factor for CCH, so our tuition for the fall season will be one of the lowest in the state at $1250, which includes all ice, tournaments, jersey, and socks.
It is our aim through CCH that players will compete at a high level to compete for a national championship while also preparing for the CHSAA sanctioned RCS season.
Tryouts will be held the second week of August at NoCo Ice Center. The tryouts fee will be $50. Please submit non-refundable tryout payment to Cougar Club Hockey, 520 Parkwood Dr., Windsor, CO 80550 and fill out the online registration form. USA Hockey membership is required and registration will be considered complete when payment is received. Practices will be Tuesday and Thursdays at NoCo Ice Center along with additional off ice workouts at NoCo and RCS Weight Room. The first game will be an early bird tournament at the stable starting the end of August.
