Dodgeball Ontario: Volunteer, Committee Member, and Board of Directors Application
Dodgeball Ontario is looking for skilled and passionate volunteers to join our team!  Whether it's a casual, committee or board of directors role, we'd love to add a diversity of hearts, minds and hands to help roll out our programs using dodgeball as a way to promote healthier and happier communities. Commitment levels may look like this:

CASUAL: Willing to volunteer and help out with events. This could include a single or 2-day involvement pending your availability.

SUB-COMMITTEE/COMMITTEE: Willing to take a bigger role on a team to help complete a specific initiative or project(s).

BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Pro-active leadership position to manage and lead a specific portfolio. Driven individual(s) who are highly organized and skilled in project management. FEATURE POSITIONS:

COMMITTEE (Cloth Competitions Advisory Committee): Dodgeball Ontario is looking for volunteers to join our Cloth Competitions Advisory Committee. This committee will be tasked with reviewing strategic plans proposed by the Sport and Player Development directors, Ian Assang and Bethel Lascano and providing consultation and support as decisions are made pertaining to cloth competition efforts. A Vulnerable Sector Screening is intended for individuals seeking employment or volunteer opportunities with vulnerable persons.A vulnerable person is defined as a person who, because of their age, a disability, or other circumstances, whether temporary or permanent, are (a) in a position of dependence on others or (b) are otherwise at a greater risk than the general population of being harmed by person(s) in a position of authority or trust to them.A Vulnerable Sector Screening is typically used for the following types of positions: Teachers, Elder Care, Daycare, Coaches, Nurses. A Vulnerable Sector Screening will provide the following information:Criminal convictions summary or indictable from CPIC and/or local databases. Findings of guilt under the Youth Criminal Justice Act within the applicable disclosure period. Outstanding entries, such as charges and warrants, judicial orders, peace bonds, probation and prohibition orders. Absolute and conditional discharges. Charges that resulted in a finding of not criminally responsible on account of mental disorder. Pardoned offences authorized under the Criminal Records Act. Non-conviction information authorized through Exceptional Disclosure. Please contact your local Police Station to learn about how to get one completed.
