Writing a Prospectus in the Humanities Registration Form
In this workshop, you will learn the basic structure of a humanities dissertation prospectus and hear from a panel of seasoned graduate students about their own prospectus-writing experiences. We will emphasize the steps of the drafting process, the genre conventions of the prospectus, and how to gather a committee. During the Q&A portion of the event, participants will be encouraged to ask the panelists any remaining questions they might have.
New Panel Feature! The panel will conclude with an opportunity to speak with the panelists in small breakout rooms - this is a great opportunity to ask specific questions that may not have been covered in the main session and Q&A!
This event's panelists include:
-- Angélica Clayton, History of Science and Medicine
-- Angie Epifano, History of Art
-- Maria del Mar Galindo, English
-- Polly Lauer, History
-- Xavier Lee, Comparative Literature
This event is geared specifically toward students in the Humanities, but some of the information may be applicable to social scientists and professional students as well.
