Thank you for your interest in the Puente Project. Please review the process and participation
criteria before you complete.

The Puente Program is a three semester learning community that requires participation on Tuesdays and Thursdays for class and club meetings. Each year, 25 students are invited to participate. Students interested in becoming Puentistas must meet the following eligibility requirements by the fall semester of the year they wish to participate.

Criteria for eligibility:
-be eligible to enroll in English 101X and Personal Growth 120 in the fall semester
-be interested in learning from a Chicanx/Latinx perspective
-be interested in transferring to a four year university
- have willingness to participate in career and college field trips, service learning, and mentoring events that take place outside of regular class time

Puente Program Courses:

Fall Semester 2020 - English 101x and Personal Growth 120 (8 units)
Spring Semester 2021 - English 205 (honors) and Personal Growth 130 (6 units)

Fall Semester 2020 - Communication 103 (honors)
