Thank you for your interest in one of our beloved Big Doodles puppies! We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our breeding program. Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or e-mail, but first let's start with the basics before we go any further... We can get more than 20 messages a day during puppy season, so you can understand that we only start interacting and answering questions for qualifying families only!

Visitation Policy :

It is our responsibility to keep our dogs healthy and safe. One of the biggest dangers we face with puppies is contracting the Parvo virus. This is something you would not even know you are carrying. It is for this reason we schedule our visiting times carefully. We are aware that these requirements may seem "over-the-top," and possibly paranoid, but remember, families have already put down payments on their puppies. It is our responsibility to keep them healthy. We take great care to breed healthy and well-adjusted puppies. We are committed to certifying all breeding adults.

We always adhere to the following procedures:
1. The parvo virus can come in on the tires of your vehicle, your feet, or your clothing. Park your car on the street
2. You will be asked to remove your shoes and use our sandals
3. Only adult dogs are touchable. Puppies are too vulnerable until eight (8) weeks of age.
4. Since the puppies are raised in our home, your visits may be held outside
5. We ask that you do not visit us after visiting another kennel that day.
 
You may unwittingly bring in germs from the other kennel. Please use the same courtesy for any kennel. They do not want you to visit them after visiting us, for the very same reasons. It is very important to us that our puppies find their forever home, so for that reason we screen all new families requesting one of our pups. We require the following application to be filled and sent in, as well as a phone consultation before anyone is added to our waiting list.

Once you are approved for adoption, we require a $500.00 deposit. This may be a certified cheque, money order, or by the preferred E-transfer. All deposits are non-refundable and will be applied towards the total purchase price of your puppy. The remaining balance is due at selection time at seven (7) weeks. Once we have received your application form, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your application and provide details about upcoming litters.

Please note: If the litter you have chosen a puppy from does not produce enough female/male puppies, or for some reason only known to nature the breeding is not successful, your deposit will be placed on another breeding of your choice. Please do not send in your deposit until we have had a chance to speak with you.

This application is used for our records, and to assist us in determining if one of our pups is right for your home. For instance, if you are looking for a twenty (20) pound dog and our pups are all going to grow into 70 to 90 pound dogs, then we are not the right breeder for you. We would be happy to direct you to another highly respected breeder, who would have what you are looking for.

WE DO NOT RE-HOME OUR PUPPIES TO FAMILIES WHO WORK FULL TIME ON THE FIRST YEAR OF ADOPTION
