After you complete and submit this application, we will contact you to arrange an interview of approximately thirty (30) minutes held with members of the Leadership Windsor team. The purpose of the interview is to get to know one another, discuss any questions or concerns you may have, and to assist you in getting the most from this extraordinary experience. After the interviews are complete, the steering team will endeavor to form a class that is representative of the community. No commitment is made or expected until this process is complete.

our topic list, sessions cover a variety of areas essential to our community --
in depth. The opportunity to see behind the scenes and meet the leaders
who develop, engineer and carry out everything from education to the
environment, from public safety to housing and business development, and
more.
The many opportunities of Leadership Windsor include
the close connections with your fellow leaders and future leaders, multiple
chances to question and become acquainted with presenters, and the time and
space to consider your role in our community's future.
Qualifications:
1. Class members are residents of Windsor, or spend the largest portion
of their professional or business time in Windsor or within the
unincorporated areas immediately adjacent to Windsor. Exceptions may be made for non-resident applicants with strong, continuing business and professional commitments within the Town, including considerable time and personal engagement with Windsor organizations, investments or projects, beyond having customers or occasional business in town.
2. Ideally, applicants have lived or worked in Windsor for a year or longer, and expect that, to the best of their knowledge, this would continue over
the next five years.
3. Applicants should have prior and/or community or service-oriented
activity, whether as a volunteer or in a paid capacity. We expect that Leadership Windsor participants intend to use the knowledge and insight gained, to expand and continue their community engagement fin the future.
4. Class members are expected to participate fully within the course, and to make
an informed choice to honor the time and attendance commitments listed
below.
Commitments:
To assure clarity about the commitment that we all make to the program, please review these major responsibilities required from participants, each of whom have a valuable place in the class. Participation is key to our mission, as information and connections build on each other throughout the ten months.
1. Leadership Windsor sessions are held every month on the third Wednesday of the month in 2025--2026 between August and May.
2. These are full days; usually gathering at 8:30 and concluding at 4:30 or 5:00 PM. There are regular breaks, and lunch, drinks and snacks are provided, with dietary restrictions fully accommodated.
3. Each participant's presence is crucial to the success of the enterprise. If two meetings are missed for any reason, that participant will lose their place in the class and will be welcome to re-apply another year.
