Twin Cities Recovery Project is a culturally specific organization, and the scope of our work revolves around serving the African American community. TCRP created our Forensics Endorsement Training to further develop a workforce of CPRS in the state of Minnesota that is culturally relative to people seeking out recovery.
This training is meant to close the gap on racial disparities in the criminal and social justice system offering people of color a chance to upgrade their certification at no charge. It is important for a lot of people in early recovery to receive support from someone who is their peer (also in recovery; not a counselor or P.O., etc.) and from a similar cultural background.
To be accepted into the training, you must have lived experience with incarceration, alcohol and/or drug addiction, a year or more of continuous recovery experience, and live or work in MN over 51% of the year.
