I hereby grant Paso Del Norte Trail the right to utilize photographs taken by me or of me for the purpose of promotion and advertising. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written copy that may be created in connection therewith. In addition, I request no compensation, financial or otherwise, for photographs that the Paso Del Norte Trail takes and utilizes *

Waiver and Release of Liability

In return for receiving permission from Paso Del Norte Trail for allowing me to participate as a volunteer as a Trail Ambassador, I agree to assume all risks of loss and injury that may arise out of my participation. And, I agree to waive any and all claims against them and the other parties described below.

I hereby release, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paso Del Norte Trail, the Trail Ambassador program participants, and anyone else involved with this project and their respective agents, representatives, officers, employees, successors, assigns and insurers, hereinafter referred to collectively as "the Released Parties," from any and all liability, claims, demands, or actions or causes of action whatsoever, arising out of damage, loss or injury to my person or property, whether anticipated or unanticipated, while participating in any of the activities contemplated by this agreement, whether such damage, loss, or injury results from the negligence of the Released Parties, their respective agents, officers, employees, successors, assigns, and insurers or from some other cause.

This release and agreement shall be binding upon me, my heirs, successors, assigns, administrators, and executors. I expressly acknowledge, represent, and agree that expressly identifying and explicitly naming the respective agents, representatives, officers, employees, successors, assigns and insurers of the parties released, all of whom I intend to be released by this document, is a practical impossibility for the parties. I expressly acknowledge that, for good and valuable consideration, the terms "respective agents, representatives, officers, employees, successors, assigns, and insurers,” however used in this Waiver and Release Agreement, are expressly and explicitly intended to include all and each and every individual, person, firm, entity, and corporation who are now, or at any time may have been included in the specifically listed categories.

I am aware of these and other risks and hazards inherent in participating in this program as a Trail Ambassador and the inherent danger on trails, and hereby assume sole responsibility for all such risks and hazards. In addition, I waive any right to claim compensation in exchange for participating in the program and I agree to abide by the Code of Conduct (see below) of the Paso Del Norte Trail while participating in the Trail Ambassador Program.

Paso Del Norte Trail Ambassador Code of Conduct

In every context, Trail Ambassadors are acting and perceived as representatives of the Paso Del Norte Trail and should conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Paso Del Norte Trail’s mission of diversity and inclusion for all trail users. We feel strongly that trails are a essential resource for all users, no matter their belief, or ethnicity. With this in mind, individuals will:

Promote a respectful community.

Treat all volunteers, employees and community members with respect, courtesy and dignity.
Avoid insensitive or offensive language.
Refrain from engaging in physical or emotional violence toward others. Make efforts to understand and honor the local culture.
Follow all rules and policies set forth by the managing trail agency.

Be a positive role model

Represent the Paso Del Norte Trail, the Trail Ambassadors program, and all land or trailmanagers in a positive, professional, and respectful manner.
Prioritizing personal and group safety and minimizing the associated risks.
Respect the outdoors and the many ways people connect with one another and with natural places.
Remain free from conflicts of interest.
Leave a trail in better condition that it was found.

Follow the Rules of the Trail

Respect the rights of all recreationists to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.
Respect public and private property.
Park considerately, taking no more space than needed, without blocking other vehicles, and without impeding access to trails.
Keep to the right when meeting another recreationist.
Mountain bikers should always yield to hikers.
Slow down and use caution when approaching or overtaking another recreationist.
Respect designated areas, trail-use signs, and established trails.
When stopping, do not block the trail.
Do not disturb wildlife. Avoid areas posted for the protection of wildlife.
Pack out everything you pack in, and do not litter.
