Apply to serve on the 2023-2024 Vancouver International Burlesque Festival Board!
The Vancouver International Burlesque Festival Association (VIBFA) is a volunteer-run non-profit organization that produces the annual Vancouver International Burlesque Festival and is devoted to promoting the public profile of burlesque in Vancouver and providing resources for the advocacy of the Vancouver burlesque community.
Board positions are available for the 2023-24 year, each with two-year terms, with a membership election taking place at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 21st, at 6:00 pm PT. We welcome applications from members of the burlesque community, as well as from community allies.
Please note that the above means that we are both welcoming and encouraging of applications from non-performers as well as newer performers in the scene! It can be easy to think of 'the VIBF Board' as being run by the most 'senior' folks in the community, but it's actually just run by the community members that have the drive & interest to put on a wonderful festival and make our scene better than ever.
Board membership is a serious commitment but highly rewarding, and makes a huge difference for our community.
