Thank you for your interest in a scholarship to perform in the 2022-2023 Bulldog Marching Band!  We have a significant pool of money from which to award our talented members and this is the first step in that process. Award amounts will be at least $500 and can be as high as $3000 for performers of world-class caliber, or instruments of need. In 2021-2022 over $275,000 was awarded to Bulldog Marching Band Members and Bulldog Beat members.

Please be sure to fill out this form completely, as well as review the video tutorial and of course, record and submit your video to be considered for a scholarship. All members of the BMB that attend Fresno State full time are eligible for the scholarships and we welcome all potential members to the Bulldog Marching Band, REGARDLESS OF YOUR MAJOR!

You will also be required by Fresno State to fill out their online Scholarship Application to be eligible for the three awards assigned to the BMB (Frank Wells Memorial Scholarship, Fresno State Marching Band Award, and the Long Memorial Scholarship) all of which are set aside to support our members. **Also crucial to the process, please make sure you have your FAFSA on file by April 1st, particularly to be eligible for the Long Memorial Scholarship**

For the Video:  Be sure the recording is of the best quality your phone or camera can record, and captures your face/embouchure while you perform. Keep room noise down to a minimum and lighting optimal. Youtube should host your video link, which should be private, but allowing those with the link to view your video.

At the beginning of your video, please do the following:

1. Please state your name, where you are from
2. Please state where you went to high school
3. Please perform the scales/excerpts/exercises (these can be put together with your best efforts)
4.VIDEO MUST BE ONE, NON-STOP VIDEO LINK THAT YOU PASTE IN THE APPLICATION FORM AT THE BOTTOM
5. Please verify that your video link is working on Youtube
6. Please fill out this form completely and submit


Wind Players - Please prepare the following for your audition:

Major Scales: (starting on the stated note) F-major, Bb-major, Eb-major, Ab-major - 2 octaves if possible
Chromatic Scale: Practical range of your instrument (lowest to highest, with a good sound)
Etude/Solo: Video performing a solo, or etude of your choice that best demonstrates your skill level (1-2 minutes).
