Crypto.com APAC Hackathon 2023
Crypto.com Hackathon 2023: The Hackathon, which is supported by academic partners Singapore Management University and Melbourne Business School, invites participants across APAC to submit ideas which apply Web3 and AI-powered solutions to address the most critical areas of need, in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Interested participants have until October 5, 2023 23:59 SGT to submit their concept proposals via this form.
Entry for the Hackathon is free-of-charge.
Eligibility
All participants must be at least 18 years old as of 1 January 2023 and be based in one of the countries in Asia Pacific.
Timeline
Registration will close on October 5, 2023
Selection of top 12 finalist teams: by October 13, 2023
Hackathon Days (finalist teams only): Start on October 16, 2023
Project Submission (finalist teams only): November 9, 2023 (Online)
Demo Day (finalist teams only): November 14, 2023 (Onsite)
*Registration may close early should there be over-registration. Interested participants are highly encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

Up to 5 participants.
Note: Submit only one registration per team. Individual members do not need to submit individual registrations.
Theme: Convergence of AI and Web3
We have 5 challenge statements to choose from this theme. Each group needs to only choose one.
1. How can we leverage AI and Web3 to improve learning outcomes in regions where there are high dropouts, poor enrolment rates, or where aspiring teachers lack the required qualifications to teach?
2. How can we leverage AI and Web3 to prevent financial losses due to digital scams?
3. How can we leverage AI and Web3 to increase employment opportunities for youth, given that COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected youth in labour markets?
4. How can we leverage AI and Web3 to prevent wildfires from happening?
5. How can we leverage AI and Web3 to accelerate the world’s ESG journey to Net Zero (e.g. carbon credit)?
Prizes
1st place: USD$20,000 per team
2nd place: USD$10,000 per team
3rd place: USD$5,000 per team
4th - 12th place: USD$1,000 per team
All 12 finalists teams will receive complimentary tickets to the Singapore FinTech Festival 2023.
