Indemnity and Hold Harmless Agreement
In consideration of the acceptance of this application,  applicant agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend any action against the Cheney Events Association, West Plains Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Cheney for all liabilities that arise out of its participation in the Cheney Rodeo Days Parade.

CHENEY RODEO PARADE ROUTE & INSTRUCTIONS                                     PLEASE READ CAREFULLY                                                                                      
1.   The parade will start promptly at 10:30 a.m. Check in time begins at 8:30 a.m. and  ends at 9:15 a.m.  The staging area is at Moos Park located at the corner of Washington and W 3rd Streets.  Judging will be at 9:15 a.m.  If you are not in your position at that time, YOUR UNIT WILL NOT BE JUDGED.
          A.   Floats will be lined up on W 3rd Street on the North side of Moos Park.
          B.  Horses are to be unloaded at the Red Barn; West of Sutton Park on Washington Street, then proceed to the staging area around Sutton Park. The Parking lot at the Red  Barn must be cleaned before you leave.

2.   Parade Entry Forms must be received by July 8th so numbers can be assigned.  You will receive your position number at check in or by email.  Entry numbers must be displayed on the FRONT LEFT CORNER  of you parade entry.  If you include an email address we can email you your position number on the day before the parade.

3.   All Mounted Units must furnish their own clean-up and equipment.  (Please decorate your clean-up crew, they will be considered by the judges)

4.    NO CANDY OR FAVORS MAY BE THROWN ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE.  DISTRIBUTION OF CANDY OR FAVORS MAY BE DONE BY PERSONS ON FOOT WHO COME TO THE SIDE THE ROAD TO  HAND DISTRIBUTE TO BYSTANDERS. 

5. You may not halt the parade or stop your vehicle to hand things out to the crowd. Please keep a short distance between you and the entry in front of you. Please help us to keep the parade moving!

6.  Trophies will  be awarded to the best of each division. 

7.   Dignitaries will need to furnish their own transportation.

8. Maintain a minimum of  30 feet between each unit during the parade.

9. Decorative material on floats need be non-combustible or flame retardant.  Motorized floats need  2A10B:C rated fire extinguisher.

$50 FEE FOR COMMERCIAL ENTRIES.  An invoice will be emailed to you, or you can mail your payment into:

No fee for private, Community, Royalty or non-profit entries. 

All Cheney Rodeo Sponsorship packages include entry to the parade at no additional fee.  Support is needed for purchase of awards and mailings.  Donations are welcome and can be included with this application. All support is appreciated.
