The average cost of owning a pet just for veterinary care per year is $300 which does not include food, bathing, etc. In addition there is emergency care, boarding, and elder care when your pet grows old. Will you be able to financially care for this pet and its expenses? *
If this application is approved you must understand that a Home Visit is a requirement of ChiHaven of Michigan. This is not so we can see if you have a clean house- this is so we can determine if this pet will fit into your household. In addition we like to form a relationship with our adopters and allowing us into your home so we can spend time together helps this relationship form. It also shows the pet that we are comfortable in your home and will help the pet adjust quicker.
