South East L.A. Media Fellowship
The South East L.A. Media Fellowship is a "storytelling" fellowship that invites Bell High School students to tell their “story” and, by extension, the stories of South East Los Angeles. The fellowship committee is currently seeking to support a Bell High School student considering a future in film, journalism, or social media by providing them with the proper media equipment to jumpstart their careers and pairing them to intern with The SELA Community Map project (Instagram: @TheSELACommunityMap) from mid-June 2022 to August 2022.
This fellowship award is currently open to all Bell High School juniors, sophomores, and freshmen. The committee for this fellowship believes talent is alive across all spectrums; therefore grades, GPA, and SAT/AP scores will not be considered for the selection of a winner.
One winner will be selected for this fellowship and the winner will be presented the opportunity to choose to be awarded one of the following items:
• DSLR Camera
• Drone
• GoPro HERO10 + Equipment
• Podcast microphone
• Handycam
• Etc.
Note: The winner will also have the option to propose their own equipment and, if approved, be granted the equipment.
