Camp Information
Camp will run Tuesday, June 11 - Friday, June 14 with an option for campers to spend the night on Friday into Saturday morning (June 15). Overnight campers must have completed grade 2.
Camp goes from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm daily. Hosted at Saulsbury Park, 2007 Saulsbury Road Muscatine.
Campers will use bikes to travel between stations. Campers who are uncomfortable on a bike will be transported from station to station using another mode of transport. ALL campers and volunteers MUST have a bike helmet for camp. If you do not have a bike/helmet, and do not have the financial means to obtain one by the time camp begins, indicate this below. We have connections in our community that will help obtain both bikes and helmets for kids!
Registration and Cost:
Please fill out the following registration form to enroll your child. Priority deadline for registration is April 15.
If you have several children you'd like to register, fill out individual registration forms for each child.
Registration is $10/child. Registration cost is due at the time of registration and can be paid in two ways:
1) submit online (credit card or bank transfer) at shepherdofthecross.org/christian-day-camp
2) mail to Shepherd of the Cross Lutheran, 3300 N Highway 38 Muscatine IA 52761 (checks written out to "Shepherd of the Cross" with "Elementary Christian Day Camp" and your child's name in the memo line).
Liability Release
By completing this form, you are offering consent to the following:
1) For photographs and videos to be taken of your child. Names of campers will not be associated with any photographs or videos. Photographs and videos will be used primarily for the use of promotion of Christian Day Camp.
2) In the situation in which parent/guardian(s) and emergency contacts cannot be contacted, you offer consent for staff and/or adult advisors of Christian Day Camp (over the age of 21) to consent medical/surgical treatment as recommended by a medical professional in the case of emergency.
3) Release of any and all liability, claims, or demands for accidental personal injury, sickness or death, as
well as property damage and expenses, which may be incurred by either my children or myself while
involved in Christian Day Camp.
4) In the situation in which it is necessary for my child to return home due to medical reasons or
disciplinary action, I assume all transportation costs and responsibility.
Support of Christian Day Camp
We are blessed by support from individuals, congregations, and organizations that keep camp low-cost to families. In all sessions of camp, our goal is to offer an affordable opportunity for kids to connect with God, with one another and with nature.
If you would like to continue making this a possibility, and are able to contribute more than the registration fee for your child, consider giving online (shepherdofthecross.org/christian-day-camp) and select "Christian Day Camp Donation" from the drop down menu or send your donation to Shepherd of the Cross Lutheran Church (3300 N Highway 38, Muscatine IA 52761) with "Christian Day Camp Donation" in the memo line.
