GCMAC Training Workshop Expression of Interest

Integration and Automation of Materials Characterization Techniques

The German Canadian Materials Acceleration Centre is hosting a day-long in-person training workshop (9 AM - 5 PM PDT) on Friday August 9, at Accelerate 2024, on the campus of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. BC, Canada. 

At this event, participants will:

- Learn transversal skills for automating materials characterization and resultant data collection and management

- Form connections with other researchers directly involved in MAPs development in Canada and around Europe

- Tour MAPs labs and see them in operation, discuss considerations directly with researchers 

The workshop will feature Prof. Dr.-Ing Helge Stein (TUM), Dr. Robert Black (NRC), Dr. Kourosh Malek (FZJ), Dr. Süleyman Er (DIFFER), Dr. Pascal Friederich (KIT), and Dr. Payam Kaghazchi (FZJ), Dr. Michael Greenwood (NRCan) and  is open to anyone interested in attending. I am aware that The COST-Action EU-MACE (European Materials Acceleration Center for Energy) is providing financial support for Young researchers and innovators from inclusiveness target countries (ITC) and near neighbor countries (NNC)** to attend Accelerate2024, and this GCMAC workshop.

Note: Interested candidates must submit an abstract to present at Accelerate by May 6 prior to applying for the ITC conference grant.
