The tradition of celebrating matariki at Ao Tawhiti began many years ago as a way for our awesome community to come together. As well as welcoming the Māori new year with kai, waiata and performances, it is a time for parents to run and take part in workshops, make food, decorate our school and really get involved.
Matariki will be held on Friday 2 July.

5:00 Performances and lantern walk
6:00 Shared kai, including hangi
Some PINs workshops may carry over into the afternoon/ evening event.
