Summer of 2021 will be the opening of Conscious Homestead's Urban Farm & Wholeness Center.  There will be two avenues for mentorships on the homestead this year:

1) Shift Meals VTBIPOC Grow Team Fellowship @ Conscious Homestead in Winooski, VT - (June 2021)

2) Recalling Our Landcestors BIPOC Mentorships - (July - September 2021)

Recalling Our Landcestors is a BIPOC one-on-one (in-person OR virtual) urban homesteading mentorship program with Candace Taylor during the months of July and August of 2021.  Due to on-site construction that will be occurring in April and May, and Shift Meals Fellowship occurring in June, we are unable to begin these 1:1 mentorships sooner in the grow season but know that that will change come 2022.  

Some of the general topics we will cover is:
- Preparing Gardens Before You Grow
- Fundamentals of Growing Food & Medicine
- Backyard Chickens 101
- Fundamentals of Growing Cannabis (optional)
- Harvesting & Preservation
- Putting Your Gardens to Rest

Program Details:
Recalling Our Landcestors is a one-on-one BIPOC mentorship program meeting during the months of July and August of 2021.  We will work together to choose the 3 consecutive days in July or August that works for both of our schedules.  You have the choice to meeting virtually or in-person.  

-- Virtual Mentorship (15 hours) - 3, 5 hour days  OR 5, 3 hour days via Zoom.

-- In Person Mentorship (3 days) - onsite camping (bring your own tent or borrowing a tent is available upon request), compostable shower and toilet available for use during your stay, vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner included and prepared by Chef Candace.  Hands on learning of each topic outlined above while on the homestead.

Costs:
Recalling Our Landcestors is a heart offering from me to my BIPOC family for our collective healing and liberation.  I do not want this learning experience to be prohibitive for those seeking to participate; payment plans are available for those who need.
