American Rendezvous 2025 - Coach Application Form
American Rendezvous is a 2.5-day annual event that brings together experienced parkour coaches from around the world to one city for a weekend of training with participants of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.  The event is designed to be a community-focused initiative to that encourages dialogue, exchange, and collaboration between different parkour communities and cultures from around the world, in order to improve the greater community and share ideas.  As a "net-zero" event, all revenues from ARDV are used to expand access by subsidizing costs and providing scholarships for low-income or disadvantaged participants, to improve the event experience for all involved, and to continue growing the event.

We realize that guest coaches are donating their time and energy to help make this event happen, and we strive to make this event a helpful and educational experience for the members of the Coaching Team as well.  This form is designed to gather information about the American Rendezvous coaching team to enable us to build a better event for both participants and coaches.

Additional details about the event can be found here.

Specific situations, demographics, or techniques that you feel particularly well qualified to teach, ideas or concepts that you would like to share, etc...
Do you have a specific unit or session that you would like to deliver at ARDV? If yes, please explain.
SPECIALIST SESSION
These sessions happen throughout the weekend and give guest coaches an opportunity to get super nerdy on a specific topic and to share something that they have a high level of expertise in or have devoted a large amount of time and effort researching.
Would you be interested in leading a "Specialist Session"? *
"Specialist Sessions" are spread throughout the event, range from 40 - 90min, and can be taught in tandem with another coach or solo (with assistants if needed).  All sessions should be able to accommodate a minimum of 10 people and cover a wide range of topics (training, technical, nutrition, lifestyle, design, group-discussion, teamwork, etc).
If you said "Yes" to leading a specialist session, please give a rough outline of your proposed session below (~100 words or less).
YOUTH COACHING
Over the past few years the "Youth" portion of the event on Saturday has grown significantly as our younger practitioners and their parents realize the vast array of experience that the ARDV coaching team brings each year.  This year, we will be continuing to build out the "Youth Event" on Saturday to create more opportunities for these young movers and to give them more exposure to new ideas and styles of coaching.  Select coaches will work with one or more of the youth groups (split by age and experience) for either the morning session or for the afternoon session on Saturday-only.
Would you be interested in coaching sessions for the "Youth" age group (ages 8 - 13)? *
If yes, please detail your experience teaching with youth.
Do you have a particular session that you think would be beneficial for youth participants at this year's event? If so, please explain.
What is one thing you wish would become a "thing" in the parkour community? *
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
