The Braukus Story
Bob and Jane Braukus met in the 6th grade at a Catholic school in Wallace, Idaho. They lived their lives in the STEM fields as an electrical engineer (also a Navy Veteran) and a hospital lab technician. Bob and Jane shared their time, talent, and donations with many community organizations. Their regular demonstrations of kindness, joy, love, integrity,
generosity, strength, mentorship, and philosophy are sorely missed.
Susan Braukus Hempstead, Nate Hempstead (’21), and Hannah Hempstead established
the Bob and Jane Braukus Endowment to continue Bob and Jane’s legacy of service
and commitment to Catholic education. They were involved grandparents on the
AMHS campus supporting band, liturgy, assembly programming (including Veterans
Day and annual Christmas concert) and STEM.
In their spirit, we want to recognize a rising AMHS student who has a passion
for community service, music, and STEM with a $500 scholarship.
