Improving South-North Research Collaborations
Energy and development are intrinsically multi-faceted challenges and there is clear evidence that inclusive, interdisciplinary research is needed to in order to deliver a just transition.

This project aims to create an inclusive forum for open discussion between researchers in the global South and global North about the research they conduct together. We will examine the experiences of those involved in South-North collaborations in energy and development research, including when they work best and how they should be improved.

To participate, you should be an academic researcher working on energy and development with experience of South-North collaborations.

The survey asks for your country of residence and the countries that your research focuses on. This information, along with your response to the questions about positive and negative aspects of the collaborations, will be anonymised and feed into an online data visualisation available at www.southnorthcollaborations.com that is updated as participants respond to the survey.

The anonymised results of this survey will provide material for discussion in a workshop. The workshop and follow-up work will aim to derive and disseminate targeted recommendations based on these contributions and discussions.

You do not need a Google account to complete this questionnaire.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

(Note, we recognise the limitations of the terms 'global North' and 'global South'. In this project we use them broadly to mean countries with higher and lower income, as described here: https://www.rgs.org/schools/teaching-resources/60-second-guide-to-global-north-south-divide/)
