At the core of what we do at Voices of Colour is to provide a platform for women of colour to share their insights and perspectives on issues that they are passionate about. We are providing a space for women to submit a piece around an issue that they want to talk about and/or raise awareness about. We have included further details about the platform, content and confirmation process.

Themes:
We have key themes that we aim to cover via this platform but if there is a topic that is not highlighted, that you'd like to talk about - please let us know. The themes are, cultural issues, opinion pieces on worldly topics/issues facing WoC, identity, stereotypes, gender inequality, systemic inequities

Word Count:
We’re pretty flexible but a minimum of 300 and a maximum of 1,000. A 5 minute read or under tends to be popular for the average reader.

Timeframe:
We’d like a guest blogger each month so if you can get your blog written/art work created within that timeframe that’d be awesome. If not, let us know and we can arrange something else.

Confirmation:
If your piece is approved to be published with us, we offer a small fee of £30 for your work. Please email your work to hello@voicesofcolour.org
