This three-day workshop will examine the compromises and controversies leading up to the American Civil War; provide an overview of the war itself and its effect on the home front; delve into the challenges wartime presidents Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis faced; and explore the outcomes of the Civil War, providing a framework for understanding Reconstruction and the legacies of the war.

Applications will close on April 1, 2020 and all applicants will be notified of their status no later than April 15th, 2020.
