SITN Lecture Series - Spring 2022 Application - DUE Feb 4

SITN is excited to announce the call for graduate student lecturers for the Lecture Series.

When: Wednesdays, 6 to 8pm, early March 2022 through mid-May 2022.
Where: Virtually, over Zoom and Youtube Live
Who: 1-3 graduate students (per lecture)

Commitment:
-Prepare, individually or in a group, a cohesive and engaging talk suited for the general public
-Attend a 1 hour orientation/workshop in February
-Meet with Lecture Coordinator and group members 1-2 times prior to lecture
-Attend formal practice talk of another group before your lecture
-Give formal practice talk the week before your lecture
-Deliver your final talk!

Broad topics can include:
- Environmental Science
- Biology
- Medicine
- Material Science
- Neuroscience
- Psychology
- Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Bioengineering, ...)
- History of Science
- Robotics & AI
- Science-Informed Policy (climate change, ethical AI, ...)
- Physics and Astronomy
- Wild Card! Any topic you like … SURPRISE US!

Note: Lecturers should be graduate students and highest priority will be given to groups consisting of all graduate students.
