Museum Talks: Sarawak Snapshots
Register for the talk: "Visible and invisible culture of the Punan Bah - a fifty-year journey of documentation" by Dr Ida Nicolaisen who studied  one of the minor indigenous groups, the Punan Bah. She is currently a Senior Researcher at the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies, Copenhagen University, has written more than twenty scientific books and numerous scientific articles.

Dr Nicolaisen will share with us her journey of first learning the Punan Bah language, which then steered her towards studying the history of the community. This led to the collection of material objects including bark clothing, reconstruction of a longboat and not the least the construction of two magnificent ‘totem’ columns, kelamen.
