COP27 Climate Education Hub - Deadline Friday, September 30, 2022
EARTHDAY.ORG is organizing the first education focused pavilion at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. The CLIMATE EDUCATION HUB will be dedicated to discussing and positioning the foundational role of local, national and global education innovation, research, policy, and practice as key to maintaining the 1.5°C threshold articulated in the Paris Accords. The hub will spotlight the important role of education to promote opportunities for life-long learningcivic engagement, innovation and participation in the green economy, and social and environmental justice to mitigate and adapt to climate crisis.

The Pavilion will be located at the COP27 Blue Zone, accessible in-person for UNFCCC accreditation holders and online for the public. 

We invite all interested parties including: businesses, government representatives, UN officials, NGOs, youth leaders, union officials to become a Climate Education Hub Partner. Together, we can lay the foundation for lifelong climate literacy.

Any additional information you believe we will need in order to best assess your application or understand your event. 
To cover expenses of the Pavilion, you may be asked to contribute financial resources (approximately $8,000) to support your panel. For additional requirements (catering, interpreters, etc.) an extra fee may be included or you may secure your own arrangements. 

Virtual participation is contingent on availability and on the rules set by the UNFCCC and the government of Egypt.
