Great Expectations Peer Mentorship Program: Mentee Application 2019-2020
Welcome to Lewis & Clark! You are invited to participate in the Great Expectations (GE) peer mentorship program and attend the kickoff retreat! The Office of Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement’s (IME) peer mentorship program is designed to help support new students as they transition into Lewis & Clark College. IME supports the recruitment, transition, and retention of students from underrepresented communities (i.e., students of color, first-generation college students, low income, etc.). Mentorship can be very supportive to the successful transition and engagement of new students, particularly from these communities. This mentorship program and all programs and events associated with GE is completely free to you!

In addition to the mentorship program, you are also invited to attend the GE retreat that will take place over the weekend of September 14-15, 2019, at Canby Grove Retreat (about 30 mins from campus). At this two day getaway, you will engage in team building and student success activities and workshops. Through this retreat and the GE program, you will have direct access to numerous staff, faculty, students, alumni, and resources. You will meet other students in a small and supportive community, bond with your GE peer mentor, and find answers to your questions about Lewis & Clark.

PRIORITY DEADLINE to participate in Great Expectations is AUGUST 20th, 2019 so sign up now!
Note: Space is limited for the retreat, so it is first come first serve. Also: THIS PROGRAM IS OPEN SO TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

Questions? Feel free to email Dominique Gardner at dgardner@lclark.edu. We can't wait to meet you!

(Note: It is common for many retreat locations in Oregon to have a religious affiliation. While this retreat is physically taking place on this type of property, this program is NOT attached to any faith tradition and we welcome students of all faiths and spiritualities.)
