Free Cantonese-English Program in Schools!
Greetings everyone, We are Save Cantonese!

In 2016, Proposition 58, also known as the California Education for a Global Economy (CA Ed.G.E.) Initiative, was approved by voters. This initiative repealed the English-only requirement and amended Section 310 to support multilingual education.

Under the revised law, effective July 1, 2017, if the parents or legal guardians of 30 or more students in the same school district, or 20 or more students in a single grade in the same school district, request a language acquisition program, the school is required to offer such a program to the extent possible.

We had successes in SF, and would like share this success with Cantonese speaking people in LA too. But to achieve this, we need your participation and support!
