2022 NACEDA Board Nominations
Please use the form at the bottom of this document to nominate yourself or others to serve on NACEDA's Board of Directors.
Nominations are due no later than October 21, 2022.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applications will be reviewed by the Governance Committee. The Governance Committee will recommend a slate of nominees to the full Board of Directors. The Board will then recommend a slate of nominees to the full NACEDA membership at the Annual Meeting, which will be in December 2022. New board members will be required to attend an orientation during the first few months of 2023.

BOARD MEMBER COMMITMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES
NACEDA’s mission is to lead the community development field and its partners in shaping and influencing strategies that advance community prosperity. Board members must fully commit to the vision and work of NACEDA, and be dedicated to carrying out NACEDA's mission. In accepting this position, board members agree to:
Offer enthusiastic participation in, and endorsement of, NACEDA and its programs.
Promote NACEDA by discussing the organization with associates, employees, clients, partners, and funders.
Serve a three-year term, attending and participating in regularly scheduled Board of Directors meetings. For 2023, the board plans to have quarterly meetings. The board is still considering what in person meetings may be possible next year.
Serve on one Board or staff committee.
Give advice, counsel and feedback to NACEDA officers, fellow Board members and staff.
Make a personal financial contribution to the organization.
Attend NACEDA’s Annual Summit.
Pay dues; or provide other resources from my organization/company as may be available in order to support the organization.
Meet with the Board president and Executive Director once a year to discuss my Board participation.
New board members will be required to attend a virtual orientation in early 2023.
