Open auditions for Spring into Dance are Saturday, January 21st, 1:15 - 4:15 pm at The Asheville Ballet, 4 Weaverville Hwy, Asheville 28804. All advanced dancers, ages 18 and up, are welcome. Audition fee is $10 (cash or check payable to The Asheville Ballet). Face coverings are optional. Pointe dancers should bring their pointe shoes.

Rehearsal information:
Regularly scheduled rehearsals begin as soon as January 27 and run Fridays between 4:00-9:00pm and/or Saturdays between 1:15-8:30pm (plan on possibly both), and will include some Sunday afternoon rehearsals (likely including 4/23, 4/30, and 5/7 for everyone, and other Sundays for some choreographers), and will include tech week 4:00-8:00pm on Tues - Thurs, May 9-11, 2023. (See Asheville Ballet Contract for more details.)

MASKS:

Masks are optional in many rehearsals at this time, but please be aware that masks could be required at any point during the rehearsal process, for specific choreographers, or in light of any specific instances of exposure.

After May 4th, all dancers will be masked at all times while in rehearsal, on site at our studio, as well as at all times while not actively performing on stage at Diana Wortham.  

Face masks (fabric or disposable) must conform to CDC guidelines, which means they SHOULD:

·     Have two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric
·     Completely cover your nose and mouth
·     Fit snugly against the sides of your face and don’t have gaps

NOT acceptable as masks:

·     Mesh or chiffon
·     Single-layer gaiters
·     Face shields
·     Anything with exhalation valves or vents which allow virus particles to escape

TESTING REQUIREMENTS:

All dancers, regardless of vaccination status, will need to submit negative tests (at-home or lab-conducted, whatever is easiest and least costly for you) on the following dates:

Thursday, May 4

AND

Wednesday, May 10
