In addition to this graduate application, please send the following information in an email titled, "HIPPO graduate application materials" to
hippo@tamu.edu by our application deadline, February 8, 2023:
(a) Curriculum Vitae (see example below)
(b) Unofficial transcript from each institution listed in your CV
(c) 1-2 page horizon-broadening research proposal for work to be conducted at your host site of choice. Research proposals should include a tie to your graduate research goals, fit within the scope and resources of the proposed host, and include literature citations demonstrating feasibility. Please follow example proposal template found
here and shown below.
(d) At least one letter of recommendation from your local institution research advisor. This should be submitted directly from the professor to the review committee at hippo@tamu.edu as it is confidential.
(e) A form letter of support from your horizon-broadening research mentor. Mentors should use the
linked form and submit letter directly to the review committee at hippo@tamu.edu.
